Safety & compliance standards

Every chemical we use is evaluated by WHO, approved by the EU, and certified by the US EPA: the world's three strictest public-health regulators.

WHO WHOPES EU Standard US EPA

The problem in Uganda's pest control industry

Many pest control companies operating in Uganda compromise on safety, putting people, animals, and property at risk.

01
Pesticides banned in the EU and United States. Chemicals prohibited in developed countries because of known health and environmental risks.
02
Inadequate chemical storage and application. Improper mixing, storage without containment, and uncontrolled application near food and families.
03
Untrained technicians, substandard equipment. No formal training, no PPE protocols, and spray equipment that cannot deliver an accurate dose.
04
Incorrect dosage rates. Under-dosing (ineffective) and over-dosing (a health hazard) are both common without training and calibrated equipment.
05
Exaggerated claims with no scientific basis. Guarantees that cannot be substantiated, leaving clients with recurring infestations and false assurance.

Our compliance commitments

WHO WHOPES approved

Every pesticide we use has been evaluated by the World Health Organization's Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES), the global standard for public-health pesticide certification, as safe and effective.

EU & US EPA certified

Every chemical in our inventory is approved by the UK Health and Safety Executive, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the European Union, the world's three strictest regulators for pesticide safety.

Premium manufacturers

We source exclusively from major international manufacturers including Syngenta and BASF: high-quality, properly packaged, laboratory-tested formulations. No generic or unverified substitutes.

WHO-recommended equipment

We use only properly calibrated Hudson spray pumps, recommended by WHO for indoor residual spraying, for accurate dosage, consistent coverage, and effective treatment every time.

ICON CS, the standard for indoor residual spraying

A microencapsulated insecticide manufactured by Syngenta to WHO specifications. PHS is the only pest control company in Uganda certified to apply ICON CS.
